There are projects that challenge you as a designer in a special way — and that’s exactly what my very first project was: designing the wine list for sommelière Tatjana Schwegelbauer’s diploma project / Enjoy Wein. Back then, Tatjana’s task was to put together the wine list and shape it into a finished product. Her wine list didn’t just need to look beautiful — it also had to meet the professional standards of her field: precise, clearly structured, and with a real feel for the subtle nuances of the wine world. I supported her graphically along this path. With 20 pages, this project was considerably more extensive than a classic wine list. For me, that was both an honor and, at the same time, a real challenge — exactly the kind of task I strive for: bringing structure and aesthetics together so that a whole emerges in the end.
